Congratulatory Messages
Local residents celebrating a significant birthday or wedding anniversary may be eligible to receive personal congratulations from the Prime Minister, Governor-General, and His Majesty The King.

Birthday Messages
Prime Minister: 90th birthday and every year thereafter
Governor-General: 100th birthday and every year thereafter
The King: 100th and 105th birthday then every year thereafter.
Wedding Anniversary Messages
Prime Minister: 50th wedding anniversary and every year thereafter
Governor-General: 50th wedding anniversary and every year thereafter
The King: 60th, 65th and 70th wedding anniversary then every year thereafter.

Messages should be submitted between 2-3 months prior to the date of the wedding anniversary/birthday.
Belated messages: You can request a message up to six months after the birthday or wedding anniversary.

Australian citizens or permanent residents. Family members or friends on behalf of the celebrant.

To arrange a message, you’ll need to provide:
For Wedding Anniversaries:
Full names of both individuals,
Current residential address (and postal address if different),
Date of marriage.
For Birthdays:
Full name of recipent,
Current residential address (and postal address if different),
Date of Birth.
Supporting documentation must be provided when submitting a message request. This is to verify the wedding anniversary or birthday details. The supporting documentation can include the following:
copy of a marriage certificate (for wedding anniversaries)
copy of a birth certificate (for birthdays)
copy of a passport including an expired passport (for birthdays)
statutory declaration (JP Services) from any person with the relevant knowledge, declaring:
wedding anniversaries – the full names and full date of marriage of the couple, or
birthdays – the full name and full date of birth of the individual.
